After a successful career as an Emmy-nominated costume supervisor for film and television, Elizabeth Feldbauer has revisited her dual passions of research and history to form Red Letter Research.
Following her BA in History, Elizabeth began a career in the film industry, working on many iconic and prestigious projects, including “Dirty Dancing”, “The Sopranos”, “Law & Order: SVU”, “The Grifters, “Masters of Sex”, “The Age of Innocence” and “A League of their Own” to name a few.
Realizing that the research phase of a production was always the most enjoyable and rewarding, Elizabeth then decided to head to grad school and earn a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. Combining her considerable film experience with her history degree and librarian credentials, she has begun a second career of providing visual and historical research for costume and production designers, art directors, writers, filmmakers and other creatives.
Elizabeth loves delving into different time periods for visual clues to an era’s fashions or furnishings and providing telling details that add to the verisimilitude of a creative project. She would love to help you find what you need to bring your story to life.
